Pros
- They are phenomenal. They definitely have some FR issues especially in the treble, though it’s not distracting. The size of the image and stage make it almost sound like small speakers in a room. They’re also the most comfortable things...
- That changed recently after I stopped by a local audio store out of curiosity and spent some time demoing different headphones, including the Meze Elite, DCA Noire X, HD800S, and Aune SR7000. What surprised me most wasn’t just how good t...
- I haven't bought new expensive gear in quite a while. - I kept the HD800S, Meze Elite, Focal Utopia and Sony MDR-MV1 when it comes to headphones.
- And I'm keeping my Meze Elite as my endgame headphones for sure
- Was auditioning headphones yesterday at a swanky audio store. I'd been through the ones I had an initial interest in and, just for jollies, decided to listen to Meze Elite cans. I was deeply immersed and wondering how much room there was...
Cons
- Switching from the Meze Elite to these feels like moving from a CRT monitor (where everything is soft, smooth, and creamy) to an OLED monitor (vivid, crisp, and sharp).
- Meze Elite never really did a whole lot for me personally... to be fair, they're great for some people, and possibly even endgame for others, but assuredly not me.
- The Elite is down my alley since it is warm, and then it emphasizes treble brightness towards the mid and upper treble instead of the lower treble. But, it goes a bit too far in the direction of warmth depending on the music type. Hybr...
- Damn i was excited to potential purchase these and saw the 4k price tag. Woops. Never mind. LOL
- I recently got a Meze Elite and I’m honestly struggling to choose between pads.

That changed recently after I stopped by a local audio store out of curiosity and spent some time demoing different headphones, including the Meze Elite, DCA Noire X, HD800S, and Aune SR7000. What surprised me most wasn’t just how good they sounded, but how different each headphone was in terms of presentation, staging, and tonality.

The Elite is down my alley since it is warm, and then it emphasizes treble brightness towards the mid and upper treble instead of the lower treble. But, it goes a bit too far in the direction of warmth depending on the music type. Hybrid pads are worse in that regard specifically.

My favorite headphone though is still the Meze Elite. Even when I had a better sounding setup with the X9k, the Elite is just effortlessly good, so comfortable and just so perfect for me.
