Pros

  • The 109 Pro, 105 Silva, and the Poet, they really hit their stride.
  • I found the AER slightly lacking in mid and sub bass compared to the SILVA. And the 109 PRO was slightly better in all categories than the SILVA. BUT! With the 109 PRO at almost twice the price of the SILVA, I found the SILVA to be the b...
  • These are all things the 105 Silva fixes for me out of the box. It can still be a bit better in the bass, but on the whole, it’s just a better headphone.
  • But if you want to do a bit of an upgrade, the 105 Silva fixes all my issues with the 105 AER.
  • Mainly cause I LOVE the wood on it

Cons

  • The Silva is a very good headphone. It sits squarely between the 105 AER and 109 Pro. However, that is both its pro and its con. It doesn’t provide the value the AERs provide at their price, and lacks some of the magic and energy of the...
  • Further up the ladder there is some mediocre stuff like Meze 105 AER or Meze 105 Silva but people like them for comfort.
  • silva is 100% NOT worth the extra 100$ ... silva is a little more spicier in the treble area against the aer so if so youll get more treble not more bass with silva
  • I sent the 105 Silva back for them, they’re that good
  • I compared both 105 AER and Silva and found that Silva has bigger soundstage however there's a clear reduction in clarity and subbass impact, the Silva sounds veiled and lack balls in direct A/B comparison.

I found the AER slightly lacking in mid and sub bass compared to the SILVA. And the 109 PRO was slightly better in all categories than the SILVA. BUT! With the 109 PRO at almost twice the price of the SILVA, I found the SILVA to be the best per price.

I must be part of the minority, but I very much prefer my Silva's.
