Meebook

Pros

• Boox, Bigme, and Meebook are three big Android ereader brands and you can just run the public library apps directly on them.
• I've always seen Meebook, and Boyue Likebook before that, as a solid budget device brand.
• Meebook. Love it.
• Meebook takes maybe 10-20 seconds to load a PDF, but page turns are near instant. Kindle, a PDF loads in 5-10 seconds, maybe, but page turns can take a second or two and the screen may go temporarily unresponsive.
• The Meebook has had absolutely no issues zooming in and out, so far.

Cons

• The main brands to look for are Boox, Meebook and Bigme.
• Kobo have overall better reputation and a bigger community than Meebook, and the Meebook p78 uses an already pretty old version of Android, so I would vouch for the Kobo.
• Meebook - 45-60 minutes if you haven't been reading in a while, 5-10 seconds if you have.
• To answer your question: anything from PocketBook, Kobo & Kindle will likely beat anything from Meebook & Boox - at least in the long-run.
• I think kindle words are crispier than the meebook.
