• Have used MediaInfo for many years with no issues.
• Been using it for years. Assuming you get it from a legitimate source, it's 100% safe.

Cons

• You can usually find out if you check the file with MediaInfo and it has a framerate that is between 23.976 and 29.997 fps, like 24.7 or something like that.
• I looked at mediainfo and tried to verify if I shot on 1/50 shutter, but it mentioned that I shot on 1/51 shutter / 177,5°. Then I looked at the mediainfo of some shots I shot on 50fps, and it mentioned that I shot on 1/101 shutter / 17...
• Parent context: Not malware, but adware. It shows ads time to time. Reply: I've only ever seen the ad button on the top right myself
