Mass Effect 1

Pros

• ME1 also had the best vibes for me. The sci fi plots felt properly alien and kinda scary, specially the Thorian series of missions. The structure of the missions was also very nice
• 1 has remained my favorite in the series, thatll never change. From the exploration to the choices you make actually having a good amount of meaning even throughout the series, just superb to me and I like that it has the most RPG mechan...
• ME1 has the best plot by far imo.
• Me 1 and 2 and what I played of 3 were great.
• I found ME1 to have the best main story, while ME2 has the more fleshed out side chars. I found the first game to have better pacing as well

Cons

• The companions are great, so much better than the very wooden and stiff people in ME1.
• Sadly, the citadel in ME1 is such a slog to navigate through that I avoided spending much time there.
• Mass Effect 1 was rougher than I remembered it. Despite all the improvements the legendary edition brings, it still really hasn't aged well. And yet you have to remember that the game is almost 20 years old. ... The music and atmosphere...
• Driving around planets in the Mako is mostly extremely boring. All of the planets are pretty much the same, with completely pointless collectibles and some side quests set in buildings copy-pasted every time. The gunplay is really janky....
