my faves in the Eastern Caribbean would be Grenada, Bequai, Martinique, Puerto Rico/Vieques. St. Lucia is also popular for American tourists I feel like, with some good beaches, the Pitons for hiking. Dominica is supposed to have beautiful nature and hiking.

I would try Fort-de-France if you’re ever back in Martinique. It’s the capital city and known for French and creole influences. It might not be a giant European city but there’s almost 200k people in its urban area and I guarantee you can find eggs for breakfast there.
