For the Maldives, the experience will likely be the opposite of India in terms of pace. It’s much quieter and more relaxed. If you’re staying on a resort island, almost everything is arranged through the resort, including transport by boat or seaplane. The Maldives is famous for snorkeling and diving. Even if you’re not a diver, bring or rent snorkeling gear because the marine life is incredible. Coral reefs, tropical fish, manta rays, and sometimes sea turtles are common.
I spent two full weeks on a similar Robinson Crusoe style island, and I was very relaxed, but certainly never bored. If you can’t find entertainment in watching baby sharks chase fish near the waterline, or a colony of fruit bats slowly waking up at sunset, or the industrious little lives of hermit crabs, then I don’t understand you.

You could look at the Maldives. If you go to an inhabited island rather than a resort, they are totally alcohol free, and if you go all inclusive, it includes food, snacks, plus non-alcoholic drinks.
Spent 5 days here and it honestly felt unreal. Warm water, almost empty beaches, and the calmest sunsets I’ve ever seen. Would definitely come back.
I was supposed to be going to Maldives with a layover in Bahrain. Flights got cancelled due to war & travel insurance won’t pay out the hotel cost. £2800 down the drain unfortunately.
The Maldives, not the first destination you think of for solo travel but it was AMAZING!!!! I would go back every year if I could. I felt safe, didn't feel bored or lonely and the staff treated me extra special traveling solo ( I stayed on private islands).
Maldives: Yes, the blue water and bungalows look spectacular. But living in the US, is it really worth the travel distance and cost for something that is very visually similar to the Caribbean?
