Hardware quality wise, especially regarding the look and feel of the case, trackpad and keyboards Mac’s are in a class of their own.
Macs are super good due to their ARM proccessors making them have amazing battery life and perf but it can cause issues when gaming
Build quality, display and battery life are all substantially better. Plus it’s very unlikely you’ll ever need more than 16gb RAM or fill up a 512gb SSD.
Meanwhile, I have both Macs and Windows laptops that I use for work or other low-to-medium load purposes, that have been plugged in for literal years. They are totally fine and their batteries have not degraded much at all.
If your looking to do any gaming the Mac is out immediately.
The Mac is very fast, battery efficient and great build quality, but it's expensive. I need a Mac for my work but if I didn't and wanted those features I'd get a surface laptop.
From what I've seen mac is unmatched in terms of battery life and longevity.
Even with the increased battery life, I don't prefer Mac as my main machine because some specific software doesn't work on MacOS... Also I'm not in the Apple Ecosystem, and it's just too locked down for me. But I do see the benefits to MacOS, I really just don't prefer the OS.
If you need good laptop for work, studies, presentations, NOT GAMING that is Mac.
