Liveship Traders

Having started reading Robin Hobb with Liveship Traders, I'd love to recommend something like that, but shorter.

I was one of those people who struggled at first with LST, but honestly now I think it’s one of my favourite trilogies!

The Liveship Traders throws some people off because they want more Fitz, but it's incredible in its own right and does even more to set up the rest of the series

Also, Liveship Traders and Rainwild Chronicles are semi-required readings as well.

I guess that argument can be made for live ships too since they are so different from the fitz books but they don’t feel quite as out of place (and are so good).

Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb. Slow burn, heavily character driven, and I finally understand the Robin Hobb hype. Some of the best character writing in the genre.

The second trilogy (Liveship Traders) in the Robin Hobb series you have started has several fantastic female pov characters.
