I also think Tiffany is one of the all-time great "not like other girls" protagonists, up there with Jo from Little Women.

My absolute favorite person to listen to is Elizabeth from The Sleepy Bookshelf Podcast. Some favorites from there are Anne of Green gables and Little Women.

If you would like a more hopeful read that still ticks those boxes, I would recommend Little Women, although not a POC (it’s also got some real festive moments, perfect time of year for it)

I think it would have to be Jo March for me. Or all four sisters. I think I appreciate life and giving back to others more since I read Little Women.
