Levoit Core 300

Pros

• the Levoit Core 300 and the Blueair 511 are similar models, 140 and 115 CFM, and will clean a room; 511 is weaker but quieter, both have a good CFM/$ and will clean a room.
• I have Core 300 on a bedroom... So far the filters for the Core 300 I can still find relatively easy and I bought this one for years now.
• We already have small levoit core 300s in the bedrooms, but I need a big one for the main area.
• A 90 dollar Levoit Core 300 is a good standard unit that is 145CFM for comparison. ... A Levoit Core 300 being one of the best compact units.
• Levoit Core 300 is 90 bucks so that's a good one... Those are some of the best compact units at that price point. ... I have two Levoit core 300s in the corners of my living room still going strong...near continuously...for 5+6 years now.

Cons

• The fact that I have to throw my Levoit Core 300 to the dumpster because it makes a bird chipping noise is proof of the scam of planned obsolescence
• The carbon in the 300s is too small. Although it filters well it basically has no mass transfer zone so the existing carbon will simply offgas the previously captured vocs which can include mold.
• Parent context: Is the Levoit Core 300 enough for a small room? Reply: I have one in my bedroom and I would say no. It’s not doing a good job. I’m shopping for something else currently.
• speed 3 on Levoit Core 300 is way too noisy.
• I am kind of shocked by the levoit 300 reccomendations ... I have one in my room, 3 in the master bedroom, 3 in the living area/kitchen ... and wildfire smoke is so bad. I can feel the impact in my lungs when I step outside of my room .....
