While I eventually quite enjoyed the series it did take me awhile to get into.

The characters here were a bit more vividly drawn and the plot had more of a page turner quality than what was the case in that other series. ... The book kept me entertained and in a way that also gave me some food for thought along the way.. Still, once more, it was a case of it being good, not great.

The first one is Leviathan Wakes, honestly the best sci fi I have ever read!
