Pros

  • She has a Leatherman Micra and Style CS, and a few tiny knives from the likes of Spyderco, Fox, and Boker.
  • I carried one I had since 1998 and it has served me well. It did not break or anything. It still totally good. One of the most reliable things I’ve ever owned.
  • Multitool: Leatherman Micra If knife laws are extremely strict, I’ll leave this behind
  • As a wan I really like this tiny one, hubby has got me bigger leather and, this is the one I actually use though: https://leatherman.com.au/products/micra
  • She's got a Leatherman micra that lives in her car that I bought her and she even uses it!

Cons

  • My grandfather gave me one of these when I was like 15. Im 39 and still have it. The scissors have come a little loose, but itll still cut.
  • I bought a Micra directly from Leatherman. Worst multitool scissors I ever saw. The blades would separate when cutting anything thicker than a couple of sheets of paper.
  • I got the Micra thinking it would be perfect for a keychain but ended up disappointed. The size is great but I found the only useful thing is the scissors. It's more of a toy really. I have some tools that flop out and I find the knife...
  • Lol, TSA let me fly to Asheville with a Leatherman Micra, but confiscated it on the return trip
  • Left to right: keys w/ Leatherman Micra, XM-18 Fatty, vape, Streamlight Stylus Pro, phone, wallet, Lint Magnet (SW 442), DeSantis Nemesis holster

If you are not sure what specific camera gear he has or wants or needs - a Leatherman Micra is a great "non photography related" tool that is really handy to have as a photographer.

I like the micra as well, but this isn’t much bigger and adds a lot.

Just added a Leatherman micra to my keychain. I was sceptical about how useful it would actually be but I've been carrying a full-sized multitool today and it hasn't gotten used nearly as much as the micra. Highly recommend.
