Pros

  • 2nd would be a tie between Last Podcast on the Left and Small Town Murder. Each have their own charm, both may take a bit to become accustomed to them.
  • Ed has done a few series too, and they've been great. He did the Aaron Hernandez series and a really good albeit sad series on Sea World. I love Ed
  • I'd given up on the show but his joining got me back on board. Both series Ed helmed were great as well.
  • Im on board with saying Ed is a great addition to the show. I listened from pretty early in the show, and Ed has a great chemistry with Marcus and Henry. Definitely value added component, especially compared to Ben’s later episodes.
  • I was pretty concerned that it would be a downhill journey after Ben left , but it's been great to be proven wrong

Cons

  • Last podcast on the left does all of this plus true crime. They are also very irreverent, so if that's not your thing, you'll hate it. There are at least a couple of episodes that have genuinely freaked me out in ways I thought no longer...
  • It got so that Ben was - how do I say this diplomatically- less of a full contributor and more of a liability. I liked Ben at first, but there was an obvious decline in quality.
  • Last podcast on the left was one of the very first podcasts I subscribed to and listened to on a regular basis... I have recently gone back to some of their earlier episodes in 2015/2016 I remembered enjoying (more paranormal episodes)
  • The podcast is an acquired taste, to say the least.
  • Last podcast on the left.

What redditors said (10 of 19)

Last podcast on the left does all of this plus true crime. They are also very irreverent, so if that's not your thing, you'll hate it. There are at least a couple of episodes that have genuinely freaked me out in ways I thought no longer possible as a sceptical adult. And all the stories and storytellers feel so plausible.

I actually find Ed to be an improvement, and the vibe is now good again. Ben had been deteriorating for years. Ed puts more effort in , and overall fills a similar role to Ben in the trio.
