Pros
- Lanzarote or Tenerife might suit you.
- The Canary Islands are good at this time of the year. Peak season is during the colder months of the year, so you can often find some good deals in August. It won't be as busy as Med destinations. I recommend Lanzarote.
- Most people were in retirement age category , very safe and friendly place.
- I recently spent a week in Lanzarote and I would recommend it anyone thoroughly enjoyed it.The weather, the landscapes, the cost of living but the thing that really struck me was the amount of Irish people there.
Cons
- Of the Canary Islands I would recommend Gran Canaria. Nicer scenery and bit more of an authentic feel than Lanzarote, Tenerife and Fuerteventura.
