Language Transfer

Language Transfer has a nice podcast that introduces a "logical" way to learn Spanish vocabulary through learning about English and Spanish's shared etymology in Latin

For me, with Greek: Language Transfer, followed by classes at the local Greek community center.

Language Transfer is excellent for the languages that it covers.

I think their teaching method is wonderful. I haven't seen it used anywhere else.

I think Language Transfer offers good beginner courses

Langauge Transfer courses are audio-only, so they only teach the spoken language. I did their "Intro to Turkish" course, and it was excellent.

About 3 months later, the Language Tranfer course (Into to Turkish) was recommended. It was 44 audio-only lessons. At the end I could speak Turkish. My vocabulary was tiny, but I spoke it.

Programs like Michel Thomas, Language Transfer, Paul Noble etc are similar in that you need to speak out loud. They are really great for constructing your own sentences as they will teach the most important basic tenses and then test you on how to say things.

Language transfer gets a lot of recommendations.
