I'd say that KZ are probably still worth it - they'll still sound good for the money although I found that they were inconsistent depending on what I plugged them into (the bass driver was insanely overpowering if plugged into a game controller or my electric drum kit). I'm not sure I'd recommend them though as mine fell apart after a few months and I've seen cases of the nozzle or faceplate falling off.
