KPH40 are a strict upgrade imo
Koss Porta Pro, KPH30i and KPH40 all spring to mind. The Porta Pro are under 100g and the other two are similar.
Personally I'd pick the KPH40 or KSC75 on a KPH40 headband over the PP any day of the week, especially considering the KPH40 is cheaper. They are great though, I use KPH40 and modded KSC75s on a very regular basis

For the price, kph40 is literally perfect! I don't think theres anything like it when it comes to comfort and liveliness. I'v been blasting my flac files and I feel ‘unrestrained’.
