Pros

  • I’ve been to Hvar and Korcula, both in shoulder season, and they’re both lovely.
  • We did a Croatia trip last year - flew to Dubrovnik, ferry to Mijet, then Korcula, Hvar, Vis and then Split. Mijet and Korcula were the standouts, Hvar felt too ‘instagram’.
  • I suggest some bigger island there like Korcula (+visit of Peljesac peninsula, good wine there + some watersports in Viganj), Hvar or Brac.
  • Korčula was one of the most magical places I’ve ever visited. I stayed in a tiny attic Airbnb with views of the red roofs of the old town. I went swimming in the harbor every morning and rented an e-bike and a kayak. It was very hard to...
  • Korcula definitely an incredibly charming place to stay.

Korčula was one of the most magical places I’ve ever visited. I stayed in a tiny attic Airbnb with views of the red roofs of the old town. I went swimming in the harbor every morning and rented an e-bike and a kayak. It was very hard to leave!

Korčula is pretty chill. I'd say it's more of a natural wonder than anything. I had a stopover there mostly. Fishing is pretty good there too, but I cannot speak on the wine.

Korcula is so underrated compared to Hvar. Good call spending time there. Most people skip it entirely and then wonder why Hvar felt overcrowded.
