lanta has a proper old town on the east coast, think fishing village, wooden stilt houses, local restaurants over the water. there are beach bars, sundowners, good cocktails, but nobody's grinding at 3am lol. you'll meet people but you won't be surrounded by a rave. the crowd there is mostly couples and small groups of friends in mid-20s, early 30s. it's also not heavily british or australian so must be a very new experience for you folks! and trust me it won't break your bank either
