The 6" (no buttons) is the perfect size to just throw into you pocket. It doesn't seem as locked down as the kindle. Easier to buy from other stores and loan from the library right on the device. ... In general, the device seem better, with things like statistics and being able to install koreader without having to jailbreak the device.
the price for the item was about £115 but with shipping to the UK it took me to like £160 which you could probably buy a kobo clara colour for i THINK
I’ve looked into both and I’m leaning towards a kobo. I like the size is bit smaller and you aren’t limited to amazon when buying ebooks.

I have both kobo Clara BW and Colour, great devislces and can't recommend enough.
Kobo! for sure I have a Clara Color and I’ve been obsessed not put it down since I got it last Year. Definitely easy to side load PDFs and E pubs along with the several other formats it supports.

Parent context: One of the main reasons I want to move my reading from my phone to an ereader is to reduce/eliminate the backlight. I just want something more gentle on my eyes. I miiight consider the colour but having the backlight on as low as possible? Idk! Reply: With the lowest setting i still think the colour looks better with text. However if not having the backlight on at all is your priority then Def go with bw as the colour screen is considerably darker without backlight.
The backlight on the colour is more pleasing to the eye. More uniform and just feels so much better on the colour, that when reading text on the colour, it actually looks crisper. I bought both and compared and ended up keeping the colour.
