For ~$50 you'd be looking at a Kingrinder P2 hand grinder for something that's good.

P2 should have better grind quality at the expense of more arm power required.

Might need to go for the P2, showing at Amazon/U.S. just now at US$44.

you can go down in capability and price to the P1 and P2, at ~US$30+ to US$45.

Budget hand grinder - KinGrinder K2. Eventually P2. The K4, K6 or K7 are way better, but quite pricier (100+).

You will need a hand grinder like the Kingrinder P2, K2, K6 and a precise scale (0.1g readings) at a bare minimum as well.

With my P2 (33 microns/click), 1 click equals 5-7s difference. ... to make sure I wasn't imagining that my P2 would give me more consistent shots, last week I took a break from the J-Ultra and only used the P2, and I corroborated I was getting more consistent shots throughout the week.
