You mentioned that you're going to Keukenhof (we went April 30 of last year, and it was phenomenal) so I'll say that you must stop at one of the poffertjes stalls to grab some mini pancakes and a beer.
When we were driving toward Keukenhof (we went April 30th), the bus driver explained that the tulips bloom at different times and therefore, harvested on different days throughout the season. He also pointed out fields that had been harvested versus fields that hadn't bloomed, and explained that the flowers go to market once cut. When we were at the park, we saw a few exhibits had already been harvested, but most of the exhibits were intact.
Not sure about the tulip fields, but [Keukenhof](https://keukenhof.nl/nl/) is open and an absolute must see. We went last May and ended up spending the whole day there.
