Pros

• With the only 5 USD price increase, Klean SV is a compelling choice among the budget IEMs.
• Klean SV is a moderately detailed IEMs for the price. Not only has the tuning improved to sound more technical but the drivers have been apparently improved as well.
• Klean SV is more detailed. It also feels more spacious in its presentation. Imaging also is more sharper and precise on Klean SV.
• Klean SV’s mids are clearer and more defined.
• Gold filters especially sound much wider, so much so that it reminded me of Variations.

Cons

• Klean SV deserves the “Klean” name more than its brother. Its presentation is cleaner and more controlled overall. Klean SV has a considerable amount of bass even though it’s slightly reduced compared to the original Klean. For my tast...
• However excess upper treble energy adds a tizzy character that’s hard to ignore and throws off the overall timbre more often than not.
• Overall, Klean SV doesn’t sound particularly harsh, sibilant or peaky, but rather fatiguing in longer listening sessions.
• Lately I feel like I have become more sensitive to treble so please refer to other reviews as well but, there is a certain tizzy character in the upper treble that I cannot ignore and that is my biggest, maybe the only gripe with Klean S...
