I definitely met more travelers in Kyrgyzstan than in Kazakhstan, but I had local friends in Almaty and Astana who I spent most of my time there with so take my lack of finding other travelers in KZ with a grain of salt.
Kazakhstan’s is decent, though a tier down.
There is decent infrastructure in general in Kazakhstan though it has remote areas which are worth seeing, but strong overlap with Mongolia there.
Japan tops the list for politeness and their hospitality ,Mexico follows for its warmth and their family vibes, Germany is efficient and reliable (a bit reserve),Morocco is incredibly welcoming but comes with high energy hustle and Kazakhstan is friendly and fascinating. Assuming you’re newer to travel, save Morocco and Kazakhstan for future trips. They’ll be a little more intensive and might not be as enjoyable if they’re the first places you travel to alone. Definitely places to travel to though!
However, Canada is not really a budget destination, so Uzbekistan or Kazakhstan would be my final recommendations.
