Pros

  • The Kawai is good, the Yamaha is better because no digital is as good as a quality upright.
  • The Kawai MP11SE has the best action. It's super heavy though so if you're planning on taking it to gigs, it's probably not your best choice.
  • What I can tell you is that Yamaha P525 and Kawai mp11se mount the "premium" version of their keybeds. Both should be very good and the Kawai one is generally regarded as one of the best. Again, be sure to try them. What is good for most...
  • Now I know the MP11SE is supposed to be better, action-wise.
  • I also found in their digital piano section a Kawai MP11SE. I've heard a lot of great things about this digital piano especially how its action is close to that of a grand. It was only $3,600. The action felt a little heavier but managea...

Cons

  • The kawai is 34 kg, you won't be moving that anywhere soon.
  • I have an mp11se. The action is the best I’ve felt on a digital piano but it’s not as good as most acoustics I’ve played, and I will say that you cannot play fast repeated notes very well. There is technically a double escapement mechani...
  • The keysticks are as long as grands, otherwise it is has a digital action, similar to the GFIII in upper CA but dated and prone to the slip-tape issue.
  • Models include Roland RD-08 / RD-88 / RD-2000 EX, Kawai MP7SE/MP11SE, Yamaha CP-88

Again, be sure to try them. What is good for most people might not be good for you. Anyway, I'd say that the Kawai mp11se is a bit more advanced than the p525, but both are excellent instruments.

I have an mp11se. The action is the best I’ve felt on a digital piano but it’s not as good as most acoustics I’ve played, and I will say that you cannot play fast repeated notes very well. There is technically a double escapement mechanism but it doesn’t seem to work that well in practice.

If you never really move the device around and like your current Kawai consider an MP11SE. It's the one every reviewer seems to love apart from its weight.
