Kawai ES120

Pros
- You might also find the likes of a used Roland FP30X, Kawai ES120, or Yamaha P125 for around $500.
- Kawai for the action.
- Here’s suggestions, Roland FP10 ($499 new), Roland FRP-NUVOLA ($599 new on sale at Costco with pedals, stand and I think a bench!), Roland FP-30X (on sale for $599.99 right now), Kawai ES60 ($499), Kawai ES120 ($949), Kawai KDP75 ($999)....
- So in a nutshell kawai es120 if you are looking for slightly lighter action. Also it's much easier to press towards the back of the key on the kawai.
- If it were me, I'd get the ES120 + GFP-3 triple pedal unit + Pianoteq. That should give you the closest to an acoustic you can get these days.
Cons
- Kawai ES120, ES520, ES920
- Try Kawai Es120, es520, Roland FP30x, FPe50, Yamaha P225, DGX670 (ghs, so normal length keys).
- I am going to push it and try the Kawai ES120 first.
- Models to consider are Kawai ES120/520/920, Roland FP-30X /60X/90X, Yamaha P525.

The three most commonly recommended models are the Roland FP30X, the Kawai ES120, and Yamaha p125. All of those are good, the action on the Kawai is the lightest so maybe better for a 9 year old, but it's also the most expensive one and the hardest to find used.
Also check Kawai ES120/520/920.
I ordered a Kawai ES120 set last week. Can't wait for it to arrive. 🤤
