katabatic quilts

Pros

• I like the horizontal baffles on my katabatic quilts, but they are stuffed well enough that unintentional down migration has not been a problem for me.
• Katabatic quilts are up there in quality but are easy to get.
• Quilt I'm fine with katabatic quilts, wouldn't want anything more actually.
• Katabatic quilts fit your budget and are of far better quality than EE in my experience.
• This is one of the ultimate quilts you can buy, one that you’ll love for years - I’d get your measurements right, select the 900 fill, and just get out there with it!

Cons

• Katabatic quilts are just a tad too small.
• With Katabatic quilts I found that the curved sides with the stretch banding made the quilt super drafty unless you used the strap kit. I personally don't like to strap my quilts to my pads and so it had a lot of cold spots.
• I also went from EE to Katabatic and I’ll second that they run really narrow. That being said I got the wide Flex and am happy with it.
• If you don’t starfish it’s a great bag and it’s a decently wide cut but it’s definitely smaller than the EE.
• I’m your height and weight and went with a wide pad after realizing regular width was too narrow for me (with Enlightened Equipment and Katabatic quilts at least).
