It's expensive. Budget for it and don't apologize for the splurge. The island is small and quiet by design. If you need a new restaurant every night or constant activity, this isn't your place. If you want your family to actually slow down and be together, nothing touches it.

One afternoon we were on the beach. The resort umbrellas are set back about 20 yards from the water with chairs. We wanted to be closer to the water so the kids could play but still have shade. One of the staff noticed, walked over, and set up an umbrella right at the water's edge for us. Nobody asked. He just saw what we needed and handled it. That was the whole trip in one moment.

Before we arrived, without us asking for any of it, they had: * A fence installed around our villa's private pool for the kids * Outlet covers in every room * Two strollers waiting * Two high chairs * A toddler bike for my son * Crib, pack-n-play, and monitors set up * Fresh milk in the fridge daily for our one-year-old. All of it just done. No request forms. No emails back and forth. They anticipated everything.
