Pure Stereo Mode (cable/dongle): Honestly this is a bit of a letdown soundwise. After hearing the lovely HyperX Cloud III S i hoped they would go for a similar tuning but they kept it more JBLish.. Which means Bass, Treble, Unnatural Mids :( The sound is basically a W shape with pronounced Bass, Treble and upper Mids. The upper mids show sibilance and harshness on some female vocals, so i guess there are peaks throughout the upper mids and treble. Overall the mids don't seem to be very balanced and natural.
Virtual Surround Mode: This is probably the most convincing Virtual Surround in Headphones i have ever heard. I prefer this over Atmos on the Airpods Max but it has tonal flaws which can largely be adjusted with the provided EQ from the Quantum App. Do not expect a super natural sounding emulation though, but for Movies, it does get close to a pretty convincing Cinema Sound System.
