ISS Vanguard

Pros

• Gloomhaven, ISS Vanguard, Etherfields, Arkham Horror LCG, Dominion, Pandemic, Star Realms, multiple games in the Clever series.
• ISS Vanguard is a very narrative-centric game, where the game part is exploring and making decisions, based on a story book with ~1000 entries. It's a good one, but be prepared that it's less game-y and more of an interactive story
• ISS Vanguard being my most enjoyable gaming experience ever.
• It sounds like ISS Vanguard would be a good fit. I've heard good things about it (and at 2p) from a couple of friends
• I absolutely love games like Eldritch Horror, ISS Vanguard, and Gloomhaven, where there is a big narrative-heavy mechanic that really engrosses you in the board game universe.

Cons

• ISS Vanguard (enjoyed the story and ship management, but the dice game this is built around is mind-numbingly boring - sold after 10 plays)

• ISS is decent but quite easy and gets pretty repetitive, my group fell off not very far through the game.
• ISS starts out well but it becomes a bit of a slog. The core dice mechanics are okay but they're not really engaging or fun enough to justify the size or length of the game.
• ISS Vanguard gets very repetitive and long in the tooth as it goes along. ATO has a stronger story and richer mechanics, in my opinion.
