Wera screwdrivers and Knipex pliers...much more expensive than Husky and Irwin, but not Snap-On expensive either.

It's also called water pump pliers, and Irwin makes a decent set a little more affordable … Reply: Agreed, I honestly have never picked up a pair of channel locks (that's what I call all of them) that didn't work just fine. Knipex are really nice, but if you are on a budget, there is nothing wrong with a pair like this. They'll get the job done just as well.

I've been using Irwin for over a decade—I don't even know how long—and never had issues.
