Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • Two plugins I use are ... a plugin called Ink that lets you insert handwritten segments.
  • Ink is the solution. It is not perfect but good enough.
  • Ink was the plugin that finally convinced me to switch from OneNote. I still miss the completely freeform "type anywhere, handwrite anywhere" canvas, but Ink gets close enough
  • The Ink bonus is solid too if you want to stay in the Chase ecosystem, just depends if you want the hassle of a biz card
  • I've tried Obsidian community plugins on my iPad (Excalidraw, Ink, Handwritten Notes), I really appreciated the simple and straight forward designs, but they didn't really work out for me.

Cons

  • I was in need of a HTML editor for creating (and editing) posts but there are only a handful solutions: Quill, TinyMCE, INk and just e few more.
  • Best may be Ink, but it misses the standard functions of a pencil on an iPad.
  • I have tried ink on iPad. I'll wait another year and try again.

If you haven't read Ink, it's also worth a read. It's set after Pine Deep and you'll see Mike and Malcom again.

Ink (best drawing plugin IMO) Allows you to place a canvas inside your note and to draw on it. Works seemlessly!

I think even though ink is only an alpha release, it feels the most "native" for this specific workflow. The drawing is a lot more responsive and it's a lot faster for making diagrams directly in my notes (my use case is taking math notes in lecture).
