Pros

• Use the government site; once you are in the app it’s pretty straightforward and the turn around is 24-48hrs
• Get a evisa directly from the government website.

Cons

• I've looked at the official government eVisa portal for India and I'm already overwhelmed and confused. Not even sure exactly where to click. I hate this stuff ngl
• The govt site for the e-Visa does require hoop jumping and it’s not a simple, stress free event; pay the fee and have it done for you.
• If you're patient and tech-savvy the government portal is cheaper but the form is long and the instructions are vague. You also don't really get feedback if something is wrong.
• I've done the Indian eVisa directly on the government website and its such a pain in the ass. The official site rejected two of my cards with no explanation.
