Hydrasynth Explorer

if you're willing to get a smaller keyboard with just as much range and variety, you could go with the hydrasynth explorer, arturia minifreak, or the behringer deep mind 12. these are all excelent synths

I highly recommend the Hydrasynth Explorer. Build quality is top notch and it sounds super good.

I absolutely loved the Hydrasynth Explorer I ended up spending around 3 hours with it and had a lot of fun just exploring sounds and modulation.

if you care about it being hardware I'd say the Arturia Minifreak, Korg minilouge (xd) and hydrasynth explorer would be the best options...

My Explorer is one I'll never part with. I enjoy creating sounds from scratch on it. The layout and UI just clicks with me along with the small size.

I have the Hydrasynth Explorer and love it. But it has minikeys. Not everyone likes that. Plus, it doesn’t have the touchstrip as in the original, which is too bad. That said, you can create some lush soundscapes.

i was a little nervous to buy the hydrasynth explorer after because lots of people said there is too much menu diving due to less knobs per function and to get a mini freak instead, but i absolutely loved the thing once i got it! the whole layout is very intuitive and the only reason there is a lot of menu diving is because it is an absolute powerhouse, with an extensive amount of capabilities for deep sound design.
