I got an hp omen 16 recently and performance wise it’s amazing the main drawback is the battery as with must gaming laptops it lasts 3 hours max for me (but I limit the battery to 80%through a setting. The charging is very fast tho. Portability is ok for the laptop bringing the brick is annoying tho.
On the Omen 16 it's placed too close to the heat vent, so once the laptop gets hot it can glitch and think the lid is closed even when it's wide open. That's what causes the black screen / frozen keyboard / won't-wake-up stuff people report. It's been happening on and off since 2023 and HP hasn't issued a recall, so it's a real risk on newer units too

when I see the gaming laptops with 64gb rtx 5070 2tb ssd(i am looking into hp omen 16), it's 2500-2700$. Do you guys think this is lowest price for now? (I mean it's expensive, but i am worried that price gets higer than this.)
