The Hogfather by Terry Pratchett. I’ve read it the last 2 Christmasses. It’s part of the Death subsets of Discworld, but stands up on its own.

but with the holidays coming up maybe I’d recommend Hogfather?

From Hogfather by Terry Pratchett. I read this one as a teenager, and it's greatly shaped the person I am today.

In years past I’ve read A Christmas Carol, The Hogfather, Krampus: The Yule Lord, The Bear and the Nightingale

Several Discworld novels but especially Going Postal, Making Money, Hogfather and Lords and Ladies.

Terry Pratchett is a lot of fun. Very funny, Very biting. Start with Guards! Guards! or with Wyrd Sisters or with Hogfather.
