Hifiman HE1000SE Unveiled edition

Pros

• I also have Hifiman HE1000SE, and while planar sub lows are neat, the lack of midbass punch in planars mean the best dynamic drivers win for me when it comes to bass quality.
• I love mine. Unless you want to pay extra for the unveiled version I can't think of any reason why they're not worth it in 2025.
• The HE1000 Unveiled is a phenomenal headphone but it's also quadruple the price of the Arya Stealth and the Stealth is more versatile in my opinion.
• From what people have been saying, they manage to have the detail of something like an HE1000 while still keeping that Audeze like tonal weight and a bit better soundstage, which isn’t an easy combo to nail.
• I'm going to say is that you're at the peak of headphones. In my opinion, you can find different sounds but not better sounds. ... If i were to dumb it down, I think the most technical is the HE1000.

Cons

• It was kinda disappointing after hearing all the praise for soundstage, when in reality all I heard was thinner metallic presentation with less frontal imaging.
• the unveiled still has a slight resonance peak at 4khz so it still has a bit of "planar timbre" and not as real sounding as a susvara, even if I'll always prefer the big soundstage and boosted sub properties of he1000
• Cons: personally I found it sibilant and the detail retrieval was just extra treble (I achieved the same by adding more treble to Arya Stealth. I even swapped to dekoni pads and sibilance didn't go away so I returned them. Gave me a head...
