Pros

  • Not to mention the amazing bottles of well-aged bourbon I secured. They will last me decades, I’m sure, because this release is the kind of whiskey I’ll only share with the closest of friends and family
  • When I first had this, I was honestly disappointed. But the more I sit with it, the more the score has climbed— from 8.5 to a 9 now. The way the flavor develops in your mouth and on the finish is just so insane.
  • This is my bourbon of the year. ... This may be may be my favorite whiskey I have ever had. I agree with your review and great job. You nailed it 10/10 bourbon.
  • This is my bourbon of the year. I was lucky to get 2 at retail at a local store drop. ... I Don’t regret it, I would buy 2 more at retail if I could. This may be may be my favorite whiskey I have ever had.

Cons

  • Yeah I feel like a bum for not liking it. I lucked into a bottle and… it’s not that good sorry. Too hot. Too oaked.
  • Parent context: Lucked into getting this bottle. Good review. Reply: I’ll go ahead and try to make you feel better then. I didn’t like it at all. Over oaked and drank way way too hot.

  • Too much oak for my tasting.

It’s so insanely thick and viscous and dark yet somehow not too tannic… through it rides the line. The kind of pour where you take 10 minutes or more between little sips.
