I absolutely love the Big Island. Volcano national Park is amazing, Hilo on the east side is what I think of for quiet old school Hawaii. North side cowboys, malasadas, mochi, farmers markets, golf, mountain drives, etc.... so much cool stuff to see and do, and we haven't even talked about the Ocean and beaches.
However, if I had the bigger budget and could only pick one, I'd go with Hawaii. Greece is great, but Hawaii has more natural beauty and activities to do.
But Hawaii has way more in your face scenic beauty, a classic laid back island vibes atmosphere, lots of activities condensed in one area (especially if you plan to visit more then one) and has a very unique blended culture that really isn’t comparable to anywhere else in earth.

I like Hawaii as a 2 day stop on my way back from Japan to the US. It helps me break up the jetlag- it's one of my favorite places to visit, and there are tons of direct flights from Osaka or Tokyo to Hawaii so you can make a pretty flexible travel plan.
If you're on the west coast, Hawaii is the obvious choice. But it's too far for four days if you're coming from anywhere else.
