Harajuku

Pros

• see if you can visit Harajuku shopping area
• Loved the vibe here with the smaller boutiques and less crowded streets, especially compared to Omotesando or Takeshita Street.
• Harajuku was great — lovely cafés, restaurants, and shopping.
• Definitely go to the Harajuku streets near Meiji, it’s very sweet area and they do cool crepes.
• Harajuku is awesome. Very touristy for sure, but Tokyo is a very toristy place and Meiji Jingu is a MUST see.

Cons

• For better or worse, Harajuku shuts down pretty early. After the shops on Takeshita Street close around 9pm, it's pretty much a ghost town.
• I'd also add to avoid Harajuku at the weekend unless you love ridiculous crowds.
• Harajuku is not for adults--cool if you're 15.
• Harajuku was closeby, and it was honestly even worse than Shibuya IMO. Absolutely packed and way too commercialised.
• Harajuku is a good shopping area for people who wear alt fashion - it is not good for people watching, street food or general shopping with no prep unless you're into styles like jirai kei. The specific area of Laforet + Takeshita is als...
