Hanami

Pros

• Reiner Knizia's Hanami
• I find the aesthetic to match the new name quite well.
• The standard version looks surprisingly affordable to me. If I didn't already own Samurai, I would back that version for sure.
• The art is very different than the old Samurai art, but it doesn't have a bad aesthetic and it isn't amateurish at all.
• I already have a nice copy of Samurai, but I backed this version anyway.

Cons

• Parent context: wish the art wasnt garbage for this one, love samurai. Reply: It's certainly different but I wouldn't characterize it as garbage
• I playtested it, it’s the same game, the modules definitely don’t make it cosier
• Oof, this looks terrible! Such a great game too.
• Ouch. Can't say I love that art or theme in general, which is a bummer. Would've otherwise been interested.
• For me, that is one seriously bad re-theme of an excellent game. That will be an easy pass
