It is accessible by a short hike and provides amazing vistas of the lush green scenery and the ruins. You can stay here for a full two days

I went independently to Hampi, to begin at sunrise, as the group was starting later. At the Taj, we arrived for the opening at sunrise and I ran off to have the entire eastern platform to myself for over half an hour, it was magical.
