Pros

  • I've been to Martinique and Guadeloupe several times and always impressed how natural and untouched certain areas feel.
  • I have been to both and loved them, with Guadeloupe a clear winner. Did you go to Deshais? They were better restaurants than St Anne and I remember it having a bit of a town.

Cons

  • I spent one week in Guadeloupe and one in Martinique and… I honestly didn’t like it.(neither did my husband, and we are travelling with our 2.5 yo son)
  • The smell mixed with the heat, I almost threw up many many many times. I am not trying to be rude about Guadeloupe, but people need to be honest about it.
  • It is NOT safe there - and maybe people are not being truthful about that becasue they do not want to lose the tourists. Guadeloupe is not safe.
  • My cell phone was stolen and we were followed home and attempted kidnapped. Again, I am not trying to be rude but I feel the need to be honest here.
