Gtech AirRam

My elderly mum has a GTech AirRam for exactly this purpose, and it’s great. ... Neither she nor I would want it as the only vacuum in a house, but for a quick 5 minute clean to pick up some crumbs, it’s perfect.

Gtech airram is one of my go-to less expensive options. They perform pretty well for what they are, lightweight in the hand, sort of a cross between a small upright, a carpet sweeper, and a cordless vac. Short air path so they don't clog easily like many stick vacs. Stands up by itself too.

For example, I like the gtech airram models as budget choices. Good for carpet and floors, LED lights, fits most of your criteria. But they are floor-only, and do not convert to a handheld.

But the Gtech Airram is a battery powered stick vacuum but the heavy bits are down on the floor and the handle is really just a handle. It’s just over $200 on amazon and I almost bought one myself.

The Gtech Airram is great but has no tools.

Gtech airram has more modern battery chemistry and an extremely short path from the floor to the bin not prone to blocking at all. And there's even less weight directly in the hand, the battery, motor, and bin are all in the base.

If you don't mind a cleaner which lacks a handheld vacuum option, something like a gtech airram might be a good choice. ... The vacuum itself is lightweight but also all the weight is centered on the floor, so the handle grip itself feels a lot lighter than most of the "handheld on a stick" style vacuums. ... And besides that, they perform fairly well. Good choice for something light in my opinion.
