Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • I love it but do remember these productions are abridged. Most of that is just taking out door opened or person shouted. However, there are more extensive cuts for some books.
  • If you want really well done versions try a Graphic Audio production. They are master at this.
  • I liked graphic audio stormlight archive.
  • Full cast is what you're looking for, graphic audio are a good company for them.
  • I love them! I have a hard time listening to audiobooks but this gives it a more movie quality with different voice actors for characters.

Cons

  • Hate them. And most of my leisure reading is via audio books. Just give me one or two narrators.
  • I find the background sound effects distracting, annoying, and unnecessary. I will never knowingly buy a graphic audio (It's a movie for your mind!) again.
  • I find the Graphic Audio to be more like a play than a book. Many times it’s an adaptation made for audio or radio.
  • I have also listened to others like the Marvel Comics and Graphic audiobooks and they were not nearly as good. I think they tried too hard with too much.
  • I can’t listen to those; I find that they take me out of the story altogether and I start judging the choice of sounds, the volume of the different added elements, etc. I find the extra stuff incredibly annoying

If you want background noise you can look at studios like graphic audio that do full cast with sound effects.
