Pros
- Gozo is a truly special place as well.
- If you want something more chill and are into snorkeling or diving, go up to Gozo.

- I’m glad I visited the Blue Lagoon because it looks really amazing, but I would definitely skip Gozo. It didn’t impress me at all.

Gozo was difficult though. We took the bus from Sliema to the port and it was taking twice as long as normal due to a traffic jam of people trying to get their car on the ferry. Before reaching the port, everyone left the bus and walked along the road. The ferry ride on there was uneventful. When we arrived, we went to enquire about the fast ferry back to Valetta and decided not to buy a ticket then becausee we did not know what time we wanted to leave Gozo. Big mistake. We came back a bit before our desired ferry and the next two hours of ferries were sold out with a long line of people waiting because they oversold and there was no more room for them.
Navigating Gozo was also difficult without a tour or a car. Busses do not come very frequently, Ubers were often not available, and sights are simply too far away. It's one of the rare places I'd actually choose one of those hop on hop off busses if you don't want to rent a car. And in the winter months, you have many fewer hours of sunlight to explore the island, so waiting for busses burns your precious time.
