I tried for the first time doing my own spreadsheet and I just can't go back. I have all control over the data, the formatting, the categories, etc. Also, I have unique charts (delta of my ratings vs Goodreads) that make no sense for Bookgraph or Goodreads to implement. Imagine then having 50+ charts like that. So those are the main reasons. Having full control of data input and personalized stats is just too good.

ended up switching to a super simple Google Sheets template I found on a post on this forum.
The backend lives in Google Sheets / Forms (mostly for flexible data entry)
