Pros

  • Goa -> relaxed, social, very foreigner-friendly
  • Goa is nice during monsoon season, a very peaceful and eary vibe to the state.
  • i find the more south i go, the more chill and respectful people are with Goa being (in my limited experience) most chill
  • Goa is ❤️!
  • I ended up staying almost 15 days in a hostel because I was having so much fun. I even cancelled my original reservation. Met random people. Had deep conversations at 2 AM. Laughed with strangers who didn’t feel like strangers by the end.

It was!! I’ve visited Goa five times, but this was my first time going in the off-season. It was so peaceful because there was less rush.

North Goa felt quieter during monsoon. Less traffic, fewer crowds, no rushing from one place to another. We had slow mornings at cafés and took our time everywhere. But overall, the trip felt more relaxed than my previous visits.
