I'd maybe skip Glasgow all together. I live in Glasgow, and while it's great in many ways, it doesn't really have what you're looking for (castles, nature, etc). That way you can spend longer in the Highlands.
For the UK, I've only been to club nights in Glasgow, and they were always a fuck ton of fun with some of the best people.

Dublin probably edges Glasgow out in terms of things to do and see slightly, but Glasgow edges Dublin out in terms of costs. You could go to the West End in Glasgow and take a stroll through Kelvingrove, have brunch at Cottonrake, etc. and spend very little all-in.
Glasgow with a few day trips and Edinburgh with a few day trips is enough for eight days. The rail/bus system in Scotland is actually pretty good, plus there's plenty of organised day trip tours that go from both these cities.
Glasgow is worth seeing but probably not worth more than a couple days unless there’s a special event.
